If you have real estate listings, I would suggest using Postlets.com to advertise them. It is free to use, and does a couple of great things for you. First, it syndicates your listing to many large real estate sites, including Zillow.com, Backpage.com, and more. Another nice feature is that it creates a professional Craigslist template of your listing for you. This makes posting on Craigslist a lot faster and easier, not to mention your ad looks great.
When setting up your listings, follow these steps to maximize the amount of leads you will bring in.
1. Set up a simple one page website with a sign up form. This should have a compelling reason for them to sign up. A couple that work well are the “Hot Deals List” or the “Foreclosure and Bank Owned Property List”. The form should ask for their name, phone number, and email address.
2. When inputting your listings in to Postlets.com, you need to include a link to the website from step one. Type something like this: Join our email list to get our hottest deals first: https://www.YOURWEBSITE.com. Notice I place the “https://www” in front of the website address. By doing this, Craigslist will now automatically make that link active.
3. Make sure this link and message shows up at least 3 times on your listing. Try putting it in the comments section, the features section, property description. This is to make sure that people notice it.
4. Now post your listings on Craigslist on a consistent basis.
This may all seem really simple and straightforward, but many people fail to link back to their website when posting ads on Craigslist. There is no call to action in that case. Without the links, the only way anyone will ever contact you is if they are interested in that particular property. With the links, they may not care about that listing at all, but the Hot Deals list might be of interest to them.
